Debra Wadlington began her art career in her home state where her achievements include a Bachelor of Science in Art and a Masters in Elementary Education. She taught at primary and secondary grade levels in addition to her position as an adjunct Professor of Art, teaching college students.

As an artist Debra Wadlington is known for her brush-stroke finesse of expressing movement with color… a talent keenly exhibited in her paintings of traditional Spanish and Mexican dancers. “Dancers” is one of Wadlington’s topics in her gallery that reflect the history, cultures, and lifestyles of the American West, including horses, cowboys riding and roping, stagecoaches, landscapes, and still life… all captured on canvas with the realism that Wadlington is passionate about. Her art is displayed in government offices, public libraries, museums, and galleries throughout the Southwest, including Hobbs Library in New Mexico, Jamison Gallery, Santa Fe, New Mexico and the Museum of Western Art, Kerrville, Texas. Award-winning art include “Amarilla,” the winning entry at the Llano Estacado Art Show in Hobbs, New Mexico and “First Embrace,” Best in Show at Carlsbad Area Art Show.

Amid the pandemic crisis, artist Debra Wadlington has made her paintings viewable at her web-based art gallery via DebraWadlingtonArt.blogspot.com

Online PR News – 22-July-2020 – Dallas, Texas – Noting that a gallery show is challenging at best, and banned in many cities due to Covid-19, Wadlington is presenting an array of her paintings in the categories of Western Art, Landscapes, Dancers, and Still Life, for safe and private viewing via the Internet. Wadlington chose the Blogspot platform for her art gallery because the public can view her paintings without creating an account, signing-in or joining a specific group. "The platform is public viewer-friendly," Wadlington states, "and I want the gallery to be available to everyone."

Known as the artist whose style reflects the realism of the cultures of the American West and Southwest, Debra Wadlington's art has appeared in numerous galleries and shows, including the Jamison Gallery in New Mexico and the Museum of Western Art in Texas.
