Debra's Art in Public Places

Commissioned Art

"Library Children" is an original painting, measuring 14 and a half feet by 4 and a half feet that is on display at the Hobbs, New Mexico, Library. The Hobbs Friends of the Library, along with the Hobbs City Council and an additional anonymous contributor raised the funds for this commissioned art work.

The painting represents enlightenment of all cultures when knowledge is shared through diversity.

Debra handcrafted and built a custom-sized frame for this art. Then stretched the canvas over the frame.

Notice the portraits above the canvas and the smaller sized painting? These were used for modeling the children and adult woman. The portraits represent members of Debra's family.
